Baptism is an exciting step in your journey of following Jesus! It’s a public declaration of your faith in Him and a celebration of the new life we have through His death and resurrection.
Is baptism my next step?
If you've placed your faith in Jesus Christ and haven't been baptized since making that decision, we would love to help you take this next step!
You don't need to have all the answers, reach a certain level of spiritual maturity, or have a perfect story. Baptism is about what Jesus has done for you, not what you've accomplished for Him.
Whether you've recently decided to follow Jesus or have been walking with Him for years, it's never too late to take this step of obedience.
Why Baptism?
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
Romans 6:4
Throughout Scripture, we see baptism as a response to putting our faith in Jesus. It's a powerful picture of what Christ has done for us and the new life we have in Him.
When we go under the water, it symbolizes being buried with Christ. When we come up out of the water, it represents being raised to new life in Him.
Baptism doesn't mean we have everything figured out or that we'll never struggle again. It's a declaration that we belong to Jesus and desire to follow Him as we continue to grow in our relationship with Him.
What Can I Expect?
We believe baptism is something worth celebrating together as a church family!
Before your baptism, you’ll have the opportunity to join in on one of our Baptism Interest Meetings. During the short meeting, one of our pastors will connect with you to share Scripture about baptism and why it matters, hear a little of your story, help you prepare for baptism Sunday, and answer any questions you may have. We want you to feel comfortable and confident as you take this step.
During the baptism service, you'll have a brief opportunity to publicly declare your faith in Jesus, surrounded by a church family excited to celebrate what God is doing in your life.
